( 2018 ) VOID is an international festival dedicated to animation as an art form. The festival brings together animators, filmmakers, and audiences to explore new narratives, techniques, and visual experiments. We developed a supergraphic based on simple vertical lines. The lines reference scanimation, a traditional animation technique, and this reference was carried through by allowing the lines to function in a flexible, dynamic and constantly shifting way. In practice, the supergraphic operates as an open grid that can be cropped or expanded, forming the core design element across all materials. The lines frame the festival as a unifying structure around a wide range of vivid and visually diverse imagery. The supergraphic was also integrated into the typography within the digital platform, including the website and motion graphics, reinforcing movement as a central element of the identity.
